MICHELE SURYA

Michele Surya has over 26 years of experience teaching yoga. Since returning from Australia in 1996, she has dedicated herself to a deep path of inner growth and conscious living.

Based in Pinheiro, near Luz de Tavira in Portugal, Michele offers both group and private yoga classes in a peaceful environment that supports awareness, balance, and wellbeing.

Her teaching is rooted in Vijnana Yoga, an approach that integrates meditation, pranayama (breathing practices), asanas (postures), deep relaxation, and essential yogic principles. Michele guides students to develop inner observation, helping them cultivate a deeper connection between body, breath, and mind.

Over the years, Michele has expanded her studies in several complementary fields that support a holistic approach to health and life. Her background includes Yoga Teacher Training, Vijnana Yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Massage, Pregnancy Doula training, and Intuitive Feng Shui.
Through her teaching, Michele creates a supportive space where students can explore yoga not only as physical practice, but as a path toward greater awareness, balance, and harmony in daily life.
